The Mini Z is back in action with a few tweaks. Now available as a head only…this is the same circuit and tone many have grown to love from the Mini Z combo. We have added a built in attenuator! You can turn it up to get maximum output tube distortion and dial it back to apartment dweller approved levels…tons of singing sustain that you can talk over. The Mini Z will also shine on smaller gigs where volume is a concern. The Mini has dedicated 8 and 4 ohm outs for different speaker cab applications. Put on top of your favorite cab and go for it. The JAZ 20/40 is both in one box. Like the Dr Z Remedy amp, the JAZ 20/40 has the amazing ½ power switch feature. There is zero change in tone and response when going between the ½ and full power modes. You just get more or less volume. Using the classic setup of a quartet of el84's biased close to true Class A at 30 watts, the new Stang Ray tips its hat to classic British tones, but like all Dr.Z amps, has its own unique voice. The preamp uses an EF-86, and it has a 12AX7 phase inverter. Tone shaping is accomplished with Volume, Tone, and Cut controls, giving you the ability to dial up a warm tone, but with sweet 3k range brilliance for beautiful upper treble and nice low-midrange control. The output transformer was designed by Ken Fischer (Trainwreck), who also worked with Dr.Z on the Airbrake.
